On behalf of our client, an international Swiss, Zürich-based company and global leader in developing, manufacturing and distributing high-tech portable non-destructive-testing instruments, we are seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to expand the product portfolio to new applications and technologies. Senior Electrical Design Engineer for Ultrasonic Non-Destructive-Testing Instruments f/m

Job Responsibilities

  • Concept, design and implementation of high-quality portable instruments for non-destructive testing (NDT) from the initial idea to series production
  • Buildup and enhancement of technical and application-specific expertise with strong emphasis on ultrasonic testing and related imaging techniques
  • Product development in sensor technology, analog and digital electronics, firmware, and signal processing
  • Experimental characterization and verification
  • Work within multi-disciplinary cross-functional R&D groups including electronics, software, mechanics, application specialists, and product management
  • Active participation in a dynamic, agile, adaptive and modular development process
  • After incorporation project leading tasks can be added if required

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (PhD / M. Sc.)
  • Profound experience in ultrasonics technology (incl. phased array techniques, SAFT, TFM)
  • 5 years of work experience in an interdisciplinary high-tech product development environment
  • Passionate and very good understanding of physics and electrical engineering challenges
  • Proficiency in C, MATLAB
  • Enthusiastic team player who appreciates working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Good knowledge of English is required, German is beneficial
  • Experience with Altium, VHDL/FPGA, Python, or embedded Linux would be a plus
